Home Fellowships

... to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

- Ephesians 4:12-13

Our mission at CBCMV is to pursue authentic relationships with people that lead them from where they are into transformed lives in Jesus Christ. Our Home Fellowships are a strategic part of accomplishing that mission. Every week, our Home Fellowship leaders teach the Word, foster prayer and unity, encourage their fellowships, and provide a great environment for authentic relationships to develop.

That’s because CBCMV’s home fellowships are modeled after the first church gatherings recorded in the New Testament. In Acts 2, the Apostle Paul says that these first home fellowships “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer … all the believers were together and had everything in common … selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need … every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts … they broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

THIS is the vision for CBCMV’s home fellowships, too. We want them to be places of fellowship, worship, learning, prayer and outreach. Our current home fellowships are listed on the right, with contact information. If you are not currently attending a home fellowship, take the time to contact one of our leaders and make an effort to check one or more of them out. These fellowships are the body of Christ in action … and the key to being transformed into His likeness!
