Men's Ministries

The CBCMV Men's Ministry exists to prepare and equip men to glorify God as He calls them into action through service in His name. It is through encouragement, edification, admonishment, and accountability that we as men are called into sharpening ourselves in Christ's image. Through careful study of the Word we find that we were made ... 

• to WORSHIP,
• to be formed in God's family in FELLOWSHIP,
• to DISCIPLE one another,
• to MINISTER and be shaped to serve, and
• to EVANGELIZE the mission of Christ.

Today we want to call the men of Calvary Baptist Church to battle not in the physical sense, but for the spirituality of those in our surrounding community. It is our hope that we call the men to service not with idol hands and hearts, but who are directed towards the attributes that God wishes for all men to encapsulate. Adam illustrates the strong leaders we once were before the Fall, in that creation worked to his benefit and nothing was laborious. Since the Fall, we live in a world where we have to always labor and struggle towards pleasing God and not ourselves. It is in this hope that we call the men of Calvary Baptist into a true relationship with our Lord in order to establish that everlasting relationship that God has illustrated throughout time and through the blood of His Son that He sent in order to bring us closer to Him.

Men, as you wrestle with this high calling, remember that you are "mighty men of valor" (1 Chronicles 12:8), who heard the call of the Lord and replied "Here am I ... send me!" (Isaiah 6:8)
