Casey Carrasco Bio

Born and raised locally, Casey grew up in home with emphasis on God, but they did not go to church or really put any foundations of who God is or what He was about. Casey grew up with his mom, stepdad, four brothers, and two sisters. Later in his life, Casey was able to meet and get to know his birth father, another brother and two sisters that he never knew growing up. Growing up the family focus was in playing sports, video games, and family gatherings. Casey was born a Raiders fan to the dismay of many people will never give up on them.

At sixteen, Casey was invited by his uncle to attend a men’s conference in Los Angeles. It was here that he gave his life to Christ.  Soon after, he began visiting Calvary Baptist Church.  When he was able to drive himself, Casey became a member of the church. Nine years ago, he began serving in the high school and junior high ministries at CBCMV. Casey felt the call to full time ministry, and thus began the journey of his education. After seven years working full-time while attending school just part-time, Casey graduated in December of 2011 from California Baptist University.

Casey’s passion for ministry is to create safe environments for students that make them feel loved and cared for while our teachers deliver Biblical principles and truths. His passion is to create the best environments; ones that students love to return to and desire to be a part of every week.

Casey married his wife Denise 2005.  The couple does not have children yet, but are looking forward to when they can have children. Casey describes his marriage to Denise as being married to his best friend and ministry partner. Denise helps Casey serve in the junior high and high school ministries.

• Children: Hopefully the human kind soon ... but for now our puppers are our children: Buddy and Bella!
• Education: Through some hard knocks, a little common sense, and a lot of hard work, earned a BA in Christian Studies from California Baptist University in 2011. 
• Hobbies: Movies, sports, Xbox, and hanging with my wife.
• Favorite Dish: Casey’s Famous Fajitas (or, so he’s been told)! 
• Loves: Rainbows and puppies ... what? Haha, no!
