Yanick Vincent Bio

Born and raised in Southern California, Yanick got his roots for the love of music from his grandparents, who were both accomplished musicians. Yanick is a gifted musician who began studying piano and flute at age 7. At age 13, he turned to the french horn, but he also began studying guitar and drums.

Yanick has studied privately with renowned drummer Mike Cosgrove from Alien Ant Farm. He studied jazz and classical guitar with artist Peter Curtis.

Further, Yanick performed and recorded with numerous ensembles in a wide variety of settings, including flute on Alien Ant Farm's debut album, ANThology.

Yanick began his love affair with composing when he studied music at Riverside Community College. There he won an award for best music composition. He then attended California Baptist University on a scholarship for his guitar and piano playing abilities. While attending CBU, he recorded and performed guitar for the University Choir and Orchestra.

At present, Yanick is the Director of Worship Ministries at Calvary Baptist Church in Moreno Valley; composing and arranging pieces for the worship band. He also works for NBC KMIR6 composing music for commercials for local companies.
